Forestal Río Aquidabán is a verified nature-based carbon removal project located in Concepción, Paraguay, focused on restoring degraded grasslands through silvopastoral agroforestry. The project integrates sustainable tree planting with responsible cattle grazing, creating a land management system that enhances carbon sequestration while maintaining productive agricultural use.

Developed by global-woods international AG and verified under the International Carbon Registry (ICR) using AR-ACM0003 methodology, the project restores forest ecosystems, improves biodiversity, strengthens soil quality, and delivers long-term climate benefits through permanent carbon removal. Recognized as one of Paraguay's pioneering climate forestry initiatives, the project demonstrates how ecological restoration and sustainable rural development can work together.
