About this project

The Grid Connected Electricity Generation Plant at Jurong Island is a utility-scale power generation facility located in Singapore and operated by PacificLight Power Pte. Ltd. The project utilizes high-efficiency natural gas technology to generate electricity for the national grid while achieving lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional fossil fuel-based power generation.

Developed under the Verra Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) using AM0029 methodology, the project improves generation efficiency and contributes to measurable emission reductions through cleaner electricity production. By replacing higher-emission electricity generation sources with efficient natural gas technology, the project supports Singapore's transition toward a lower-carbon power sector.
